NUTRITION

- They eat frish, crabs, seals, plancton and kri.....
- Some sharks attack other animals from the bottom of the sea so the animals can't see the sharks.
- Others attack groups of small fish.
- Other sharks open their mouth while they swim and they eat the plancton and the kri..... which are in the water.

ITS BODY



SKELETON

-Sharks are flexible because they have skeletons made of cartlage, not bones.

SIZE

- Sharks can be from 15 centimetres to 15 metres (a bus)

This is an example of the size of sharks compared to a person.


FINS

- Most sharks have eight fins.


SKIN

- The skin has scales.The top of the sharks is dark colour and the bottom is light colour for camouflage.


TEETH

- They have sharp teeth and they have replacement teeth.

- Sometimes they have thirty thousand (30,000) or more teeth in their life.

CHARACTERISTICS OF THE SHARKS

- The shark is a fish. 
- It lives in the oceans.
- They hunt other fish.
- They are considered killers but they attack few people.
- They are older than dinosaurs. The oldest shark on earth was called the "megaledon". 
- There are many types of sharks. There are thirty (30) families of sharks.
